Description: FIRE ISLAND HAWK WATCH

One of the most exciting parts of fall migration, along the Atlantic migratory flyway takes place on Fire Island. Join us as we look for various species of hawks and falcons as well as migrating monarch butterflies, dragonflies, and birds. The Fire Island Hawk Watch is unique in that it takes place on a barrier beach. Please dress for the weather. Heavy rain will cancel the event. Meet at Robert Moses State Park, Hawk Watch Platform at Field Five.
