Description: Join Four Harbors and Mike Cooper to search for shorebirds at Cupsogue Beach County Park. Late summer is prime time to view many shorebirds, Clapper Rail, terns, gulls, Saltmarsh Sparrow, and wading birds. With any luck, we might even see one of the rarities, such as Marbled Godwit. Cupsogue is located at the west end of Dune Road. We’ll meet at 7:45 a.m.at the west end of the parking lot. Bring insect repellent, wear waterproof shoes (we will probably be wading through water), drinking water, (a must) and snack if desired. Email fourharborsheron@gmail.com to register.
