Where: West Meadow Beach, Stony Brook, NY 11733, USA (map)
Description: Meet at kiosk. Two mile walk take place at 7:30 a.m. April through October, and 8:30 a.m. November through March.
Please note:
Due to Town of Brookhaven parking and entrance restrictions, and a late opening time at West Meadow Beach, the location of our July Second Wednesday Bird Walk has been changed. Instead of a bird walk at West Meadow this Wednesday, July 8, we will bird at Flax Pond, located on Shore Drive in Old Field/Setauket. http://www.flaxpondfriends.org/about.html (see directions below). Flax Pond is not too far from West Meadow, and we will still be able to meet at 7:30 am as originally planned for the West Meadow walk. We are limiting our walks to ten (10), so please contact Patrice Domeischel to reserve at fourharborsheron@gmail.com, or if you have already reserved and can no longer attend. Please bring insect repellent, water and a snack, and most importantly, a face mask. We will revisit plans for our next Second Wednesday Walk (August) at the end of this month.
