Description: Enjoy a weekday walk at Sweetbriar Nature Center. Sweetbriar Nature Center is situated on 54 acres of varied garden, woodland, field and wetland habitats on the Nissequogue River. Hundreds of species of plants and animals make homes here. The also offer educational programs, events, and wildlife rehabilitation. We’ll be hiking the trails in search of late migrants and resident birds. Afterwards feel free to walk the grounds and visit the rehabbed animals and birds in their outdoor enclosures. and the exhibits inside the house. Sweetbriar is located at 62 Eckernkamp Drive, Smithtown NY 11787. We will meet in the parking lot.

Walk is about 2 miles and will last about 2-3 hours. Bring water and a snack. Inclement weather cancels the walk. If the walk is canceled, an email will be sent out to those who have registered, and a notice will be posted on the 4HAS Facebook page.
