Description: Living in the Future’s Past (2018)1 hour 40 min

Jeff Bridges narrates this wonderfully videoed thought-provoking movie on on who we are as a society and the life challenges we face. What kind of future do we want to live in? This film upends our way of thinking and provides original insights into our subconscious motivations, the unintended consequences, and how our fundamental nature influences our future as mankind. It focuses on human behavior, trends, and the impact of humanity from a psychological and ethical perspective. It merges a diverse array of philosophical leaders and scientists with diverse yet synchronous views on why we find ourselves in this current state of uncertainty and how we can all help create positive change. Age appropriate from those in high school to retirees.

All are welcome, as are questions and comments.

Movie will be shown at 6:30 p.m. at The Smithtown Library, Main Building, One North Country Road, Smithtown. Free and open to all. Reservations required. Call Joy Cirigliano at 631-766-3075 to reserve. Or call the Smithtown Library(631) 360-2480, ext. 232, or visit the Smithtown Library website
