Description: Please join leader, Eileen Schwinn, as we explore The Quogue Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is a 305 acre non-profit nature preserve in the Pine Barrens. The variety of habitats, including freshwater ponds, field, bog, and tidal wetland attract many different bird species (179 listed on eBird). Join us for a birding adventure and learn more about the habitats and history of the Quogue Wildlife Refuge. If the nature center has been reopened to the public, you can explore the exhibits within following our walk. An outdoor bathroom is available.
