Description: The Marine Nature Study Area is a 52-acre preserve devoted to environmental education and natural history. We will take an easy walk along the boardwalk and on the trails.  We’ll expect to see Yellow-crowned Night Herons, egrets, shorebirds, Forster’s Terns, Saltmarsh Sparrows, and we might even be treated to a look at the elusive Clapper Rail!

Afterwards, visit the interpretive center that contains tanks with live specimens of marine life from the area and informative displays.  Restrooms are available.

The address is 500 Slice Drive, Oceanside.  We will meet in the parking lot at 9:30 a.m.
