Nissequogue River State Park Bird Walk

Where: Nissequogue River SP via Harrison Pond Park, Kings Park, NY 11754, USA (map)

Description: Join Joy Cirigliano on a bird hike up a section of the Long Island Greenbelt Trail from Harrison Pond Park into the rear of Nissequogue River State Park. We should see shorebirds, waders, ducks, woodland and edge species, and fall migrants along this wooded/dune/field walk. Directions to Harrison Pond Town Park: From Route 25A, turn north on Landing Ave, and continue to end of road. Turn left onto Landing Road, then right at the first traffic light—St Johnland Road. Harrison Pond Park is on the left side of the road , half mile from Landing Road. (west of Riviera Drive, east of Nissequogue River State Park entrance).
