How Many Ways Can You Say Bird?

Where: Frank Melville Memorial Park, One Old Field Road, Setauket, NY (map)

Description: This program is meant for families with children between the ages of 7 and 12, but anyone can participate. Using the bilingual (English/Spanish) “The Young Birdwatcher’s Logbook” from the Adventures of Pili Series  we will explore Frank Melville Park in search of the many feathered friends that can be found there. The program leader, Patricia Paladines, will also share some basic bird related words in American Sign Language. Do you know how to say bird in another language? Join us and Share!

The logbook can be purchased ahead of the walk here. 4HAS will provide sample sheets for use during the activity if you don’t bring your own.
