Description: Join Kathleen Coyle on a bird tour through Cordwood Landing County Park. We'll take a trek through mixed forest to the upper portion of the bluffs where you will be able to view the Long Island Sound. We'll continue on down the path to the beach below to view Bank Swallows and their burrows excavated in the banks below. We expect to see resident nesting birds and returning breeding birds such as Prairie and Yellow Warblers, American Redstart, Ovenbird, woodpeckers, gulls and terns. There is a slight incline on parts of this walk. Bring water and snack if desired, and insect repellent. Please register at fourharborsheron@gmail.com. Those who register will be contacted if for any reason the walk is cancelled.
