Description: Join Four Harbors Audubon Society board member Patricia Paladines on a hike of the new trails at CEEDLI.org in Brookhaven. Patricia will be joined by CEED Co-founder and Site Director, Eric Powers in search of birds that call the CEED forest home. These new trails in this South Shore community consist of a mixed upland forest on the north side of South Country Road, and transition to wetland vegetation south of the road as the trail nears Beaver Dam Creek. Learn about the history of the Washington Lodge, home of the CEED offices, and the significant contributions toward the birth of the modern environmental movement made by people that resided in the area. CEEDLI is located at 287 South Country Road, Brookhaven, NY 11719.
